Have you even took a chance and listened to his album before judging? Not trying to sound like a smart ass or anything, so don't take my response negatively, but the reason why I like Kanye's music is because he doesn't talk about how many people he shot, how many mansions he owns, how many times he got stabbed, how much cocaine he sold, how much money he earned as a hustler, how he knocked up a baby mama, how many women he bitch slapped by pimping hoes or how many more albums he has sold compared to the next rapper. That may be true, but as one human to another.. hearing remarks such as this.. my respect for him is at an all time low. the bush comment was something totally different but this is just simply something to make his time on top of his mountain.. seem like a one night stand. | |

For me, everytime I try to give Kanye any credit, he ALWAYS does something that makes me take back everything I said. I firmly believe something bad will happen if he doesn't get a hold of his mouth.

oh my, reading some of these comments, you would think Kanye said "Kanye West does not care about white people"...he didn't say that, just that he dislikes white bands/artists who try to sound black. Thats what i got from the comment that was posted when the thread started. i don't think the remarks are racist, and yes i have thought about if it was flipped and a white artist said that he dislikes black bands/artists who try to sound white...and no i don't think that would be racist neither.

Though I gave Kanye props a few weeks ago for going off script, since the script was so sappy and trite, these comments are just stupid, IMO. Blacks can be hard rockers, whites can be soulful crooners, and latinos can be polka kings, if they please. Thank God, Prince is great at them all.
