I love the way you describe music. You and Isten never cease to amaze me with the words you use to convey an emotion. I still need to start that music & colors thread I've been meaning to write. I know he'd appreciate that.

Awww, don't get me started. What are the influences that invoke the colours? Is it JUST the music? Or a combination that involves cover art, as it does with me? This is what I miss in the digital age; the vinyl covers, the records labels, the art design. Covers like Low's, Blue's and Sign The Times' were very important to invoke the colours that flash trhrough my head when I close my eyes while listening to music.

Even with singles. To this day, the colors I think of when I hear "Gett Off" and "Cream" are because of their covers. But it can be something much more abstract, like a screensaver in your mind whenever a certain song comes on. It's just an automatic trigger. I don't know that everyone experiences this, but I know quite a few people who do.

This is of course not always the case, but music form the 80's, early 90's can do that to me. GangstaFam said: a screensaver in your mind whenever a certain song comes on.

I dream entire songs constantly and then wake up to realize that I subconsciously wrote them.

Do you still remember it? Cuz if I don't commit it to memory as soon as I wake up, it's lost forever.

Do you still remember it? Cuz if I don't commit it to memory as soon as I wake up, it's lost forever. I can still sing it. In my dream it was a W&L song, but as they only had two albums out at that time, I realised it was sumthing my own lil brain came up with. The melody is so strong, I could sing it for you right now.
