Ah my friend, life as we know it may not be over just yet. There is always hope. (Or is there????)

I once had a similar sadness. I thought I was out of mustard. Everyone knows a potato salad just isn't a potato salad without the spicy condiment! After a frantic search about the house, I realized I had some old sauce packets from various fast food restaurants shoved into a drawer. It is the same drawer where I keep extra batteries, a handheld can opener, and other barely-used items. Low and behold, I found a couple of honey mustards from McDonald's, normally used for dipping chicken McNuggets! Not only did I add them to my potato salad, but now people still ask me for the recipe made from that lucky finding. Perhaps all you need is a lucky finding yourself...

Okay try this...

Have you recently moved the turntable or replaced the needle cartridge? If so, perhaps all you need to do is adjust the alignment of where the needle makes contact with the vinyl record. Try turning your stylus one way or another in order for it to touch directly down. (You might also replcae your needle if you haven't already done so.) As for the pitch, maybe you just need to replcae the belt. After all, if it is truly a DJ gem, you are using a belt-driven turntable and NOT a direct drive - correct?

Now if my suggestions do not work, might I suggest you get in the car and get yourself to McDonald's? You really should treat yourself to perhaps a 20 piece McNugget snack (be sure to get some of that honey mustard dip) and cope with the fact that... yes, it might be time to move on.

DJ's are actually using CD turntable to mix from and you, my friend, might just need to try new technology. Old habits die hard, or so they say, and your Technics might be due for a burial.

Someone doesn't like to try new things, obviously.
Doesn't he?
