Cyndi Lauper Beats Prince to the Punch

One of the many rumors floating around earlier this year was P. doing an acoustic re-recording of some of his greatest hits. Never happened but damn if Cyndi Lauper didn't go and do that very thing. "The Body Acoustic" is being released in November and contains acoustic versions of her greatest hits. Alanis did the acoustic re-recording of Jagged Little Pill already this year so this is apparently a trend. Besides Prince, who would you like to see an acoustic rendering of their greatest hits?

My vote would, of course, go to Wham!
All good things they say never last...

Sounds interesting. Acoustic verisons of songs like "True Colors" and "Time After Time" would be great! Now "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" on the ohter hand....

Can't wait to hear Cyndi's album. Both of the new songs are magnificent, though I'm not so sure about Shaggy guesting on "All Through The Night"...

It's out the same day as Kate's "Aerial", and a week before "Confessions..."-
is this 1985???

Prince performed "7" accoustically on tour last year... it was incredible!

Yeah, I'd like to see a whole cd recorded in that manner. smile

Isn't Kelly Osbourne dueting with Cyndi or something like that for that song
