This is a cool way of seeing plain and simple what you own.

I am trying to catalog the albums I own right now.

I am noticing alot of compilations and singles are not present, so I'm focusing on artists and their LPs.

Moonbeam - Thanks for bringing this link to light.

Oh gosh, don't get me started! In addition to being able to account for everything you own, you can rate it all and make your own lists. As you can tell, it's perfect for me!

Avoid the message board though. Music snobbery to the hilt!

I forgot to mention: you can also write your own reviews of albums and singles there. I'm currently at 57 and have posted many here.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!

You can also contribute albums, singles and artists to the database, as well as album artwork, artist profiles and other information. It's really a great conglomerate of information.

It really makes you step back and see: whoa, I never got rid of that Ashanti album?

i'm absorbing it right now...it's a slowwww site, but i'm loving it!

It's making me want to get rid of some stuff, and re-listen to other stuff!

i'm rating stuff i own or have owned by year, starting at 1999 and going backwards...i'm in the middle of 1998 now...boy, pickins were slim back then, huh?

I have a difficult time rating stuff! I'm just going to focus on cataloging my full albums on CD.

Their top 100 started promising but there isn't any Prince album in it !

once i get around to reviewing those albums, i'll probably reconsider the ratings. i just did a preliminary round of ratings to get everything catalogued and roughly rated. i think based on what my favorites are, i was pretty kind to the llamas, though. i can't very well give 'em five stars...that would be like saying i enjoy gideon gaye as much as purple rain or ziggy stardust...which, as good as gideon gaye is, well....
