Dead serious. Lil Jons crew the eastside boys are named big sam and lil bo.
heres an excerpt of an interview: NobodySmiling : Describe how a Lil’ Jon & The East Side Boyz song gets recorded. What’s the work etiquette like between you three? Big Sam : See, me myself, I might bring you a hook. Lil’ Bo, he’ll bring you a verse. Together, we all sit down and write everything out, as far as map it out – like, we said this, now what can we say after that to make the crowd do this. Okay, if they do this, they wouldn’t wanna do that – that’s how we map out every song. We don’t usually go to the studio, like, “I got this song and we gotta do this right here.” We might have an idea because we always got hooks and ideas, but Lil’ Jon will just basically do the tracks and we’ll sit in the studio and get the vibe from it, then we just come up with what we’re gonna say right there. One song that we had done earlier and then went to the studio to do it, that was the first song we did “Who You Wit” (1997). NBS: So what do you bring to the table, musically speaking? Big Sam: We just like to party! We bring the party to the industry. It’s like, anybody who’s been in the club with us or went and kicked it with us, they’ll say like, “Yo’ them East Side Boyz? They like to party!” We them people that get in the club drunk; we’re all about having a good time. NBS: Are there any artists today that influence you, either who you look up to or give your music direction? Big Sam: Anybody that’s doing music right now, whether they doing it on a big scale or a small scale. If you just doing it, and your heart is in it? – you influence me, I look up to you. Lil’ Bo: ‘Cause it’s hard messing with that music, man. To me, I just feel like if you’re gonna do music, you can’t go to the studio one day – like, “Okay I’ma be a rapper today” – and then go back two months later. I just feel like you should quit your day job and really work at it, ‘cause it’s hard, man. Big Sam: It got to a point, to be honest with you, I thought that being in this business was a means to get out. I mean, it kinda is with the money that you could make; but just to get to the point where you make that money? To me, it’s harder than working a 9-to-5 job trying to come up and be a shift supervisor. "Thinking like the Keys on Prince's piano, we'll be just fine"

How pathetic. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Well this is no surprise. And honestly we should all stop complaining about the problem when we contribute to it. The fact they we let Numbers rule the day are the reasons why shit like this happens. I work in Music Retail so day by day I see people BUY shit all day long, Tony Yayo, Young Jeezy etc etc, U think we sold ONE Little Brother yet, no, BUT WHOS to blame, the Public or the Video stations or Radio or the Corporate Machine. Just the other day while I wasnt WATCHING Music Videos, I stumbled across KANYE WESTs new Video 17 times in 2 hours, nothing against KANYE but thats where the problem lies, there is NO imagination at VIDEO stations or RADIO, the current top 10 songs have been the Top 10 songs for about 4 months now, Mairah Careys WE BELONG has been in the TOP 10 for almost 6 months now, that is Crazy, how about someone at Radio play an Album cut or instead of Playing that Track 100 times a day play it 90 and give 10 to someone else, HOW ABOUT BREAKING AN ARTIST for once!! Everything is run by bottom line, I talked to John Crawford of Berlin the other day after he sent me his new CD, and he told me the same thing, he has sold about 1500 of his CD so far, just basically from his house, mainly because NO label would have time to work his material or even try. I cant wait till every Label folds, MTV BET and VH1 all crash, but U see that WONT happen until we all stop tuning in, Instead of TALK we need to actually DO. maybe they aren't playing it because they don't think it has hit potential. or because they think it sucks. (then again, it's hard to imagine 75% of their playlist and programming making the "doesn't suck" criteria.) "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

Well, Fahyim Ratcliffe from the Source magazine left the Source over the Minstrel Show. He'd told the guys that the album was going to get 4 and half mics and the powers that be revoked the rating. You know, Benzino...I think that was his revoking. But the guys say it wasn't them, just the straw that broke the camel's back

That is crazy...and I have heard a few cuts...all right, but not 5 mic status. But "Lighters Up" is hot tho. But lyrically? She needs a ghostwriter
