Kelly O's Sleeping in the Nothing album is not that bad!

I've had it in my hard-drive since it came out and haven't deleted it yet! Some great retro tunes there!

That material in other hands and voice! Instant sucess!

(I adore Suburbia wink !)

I feel the same way. The first single, "One Word", is probably the strongest song of her career (sounds a bit similar to Visage's "Fade to Grey", but it doesnt really change my opinion)

The rest of the album is pretty good. I think that this retro 80s direction suits Kelly more than the pop/punk stuff she did with her first album

This album isnt selling well, which is a shame. It's actually pretty good. The fact that "One Word" was a big club hit and minor pop hit didnt even help. I think Kelly, especially with this CD, is going to be a cult figure on the dance scene. You know, kinda like Deborah Harry(solo) and the Scissor Sisters. Not fully appreciated, but there's always that group of hardcore followers.

Her previous image as the spoiled osbourne brat worked against her! Very entertaining album! Better than anything Britney released!

I loved "One Word" and the album wasn't that bad, either. Nothing amazing though. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes big in the clubs now. I'm suprirsed this CD didn't help break her into the pop market, but the radio is still deathly afraid of dance music. Hell, she couldn't get anywhere when she was doing Avril like music when Avril and artists like that were big. I think at least this album sold based on the music and not celebrity hype (and unlike her last, it at least charted).
