The record company was going to issue these remasters (with said tracklists), but apparently without consulting Annie and Dave. In an interview with ethrill.net, Dave Stewart said that he and Annie didn't want to reissue the material until they had time and could compile it nicely. As a result, those remastered tracklists have been defunct. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! I think they said they were unsatisfied with them as several key tracks were missing, i.e. Step on the Beast, Invisible Hands, etc. They decided that if they were going to do them, they wanted to include everything. I agree. And I'm willing to wait. | |
