Stevie & Joni? Hmmm...
There are some piano chords that are played on Innervisions in the interlude between Living For The City & Golden Lady, that remind me an awful lot of what Joni plays in Down To You(Court & Spark). Wouldn't surprise me if it was her. I DON'T WANT TO BE NORMAL,because normal is part of the status quo, which I don't want to be a part of- Tori Amos

Theoretically, it could still be her. She wasn't born in 1974.

She isn't credited on the album though, and stevie's never had any complaints against him about people not getting credit. Plus, Stevie's a master pianist, and I don't think joni is on quite the same level on the keys as stevie to say the least. If joni and/or stevie says anything to that effect, fine, but until then I think it's just a coincidental similarity.

....
It certainly wasn't Joni, but this thread reminded me of this picture: ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout
