Dee Dee Ramone was a rapper?

So I was watching a Ramones documentary last night when they mentioned that Dee Dee Ramone did a rap album in the late 80's. Aapprently he called himself Dee Dee King?! Does anyone no more about this or ever heard any of the songs? From what I saw it looked hilarious!

There's a male porn star, Kurt Lockwood (kurtlockwood.com NSFW) that has a funny story about his encounter with Dee Dee Ramone on his web site. I think its in the bio section.

I saw that documentary too. It showed parts of his rap video. Hilarious.

I saw the movie in a theater and people were guffawing and rolling in the aisles at that part.

I saw the End Of The Century too and those rap moments were priceless. I especially liked the rent-a-posse he had hanging around him. I wonder how much he paid those black guys to hang around him on that video.

Good movie, wasn't it? I also like Dee Dee's interviews and his R&R Hall of Fame speech. The last shot of him was so poignant. He's a tragic figure, and seemed to bring a tenderness and humanity to the group.

I felt sorry for Johnny the most. I bet he died the most unhappiest member of the group. Obviously someone with a lot of issues and unable to express themselves. Always and on the defence and he simply seemed like someone you didn't really want to be around.

I agree, but he also just seemed like a jerk. The way he talked about not wanting to see Joey before he died and all that crap. Dee Dee, on the other hand, seemed the most self-aware and honest, at least in the movie. The story as a whole was pretty depressing. I found myself brooding on it for days.
