Holy crap!

Okay, so now I need to know...

1. How did you arrange your discs?

2. Did each one have a name?

3. Is there art?

Currently working on a disc of MP3s for my cousin. Mix of songs and movie/comedy quotes. I wanted enough to fill an entire disc and his MP3 player. Being the perfectionist that I am I now have 223 songs and soundbites arranged in an order to my liking and bound to make him laugh! smile

I haven't started on the artwork or anything yet, but I'm thinking the title needs to be 1/2 a day wasted since the total play time clocks in around 12 hours eek

About 6 years ago we made a mix tape for me to listen to during the Northshore Inline Marathon and this is kinda my repayment smile

1. I originally intended the discs to be in two, three-disc sets. At the time I was working on it, it became obvious that I was going to need more than six discs, so I just put the first six into a six-disc jewel case. The seventh disc is all on its lonesome, because I intened to keep adding to it until I had at least three discs.

2. No. The set is called Mixes for the Masses. I DID intend to name the second set Some Great Remixes. Corny, I know, but I thought it would be cute to play on album titles (I was thinking of how they named their first live concert vid The World We Live In, And Live in Hamburg, and I wanted to have a kind of silly play on their past work like that).

3. There is. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner to share it with you. I did a full booklet for the first set, basically featuring lots of pics from all over their career. I wanted to convey the whole set as a kind of collage of material from all the different phases of the band's history. the front and back both had fairly recent shots of them from The Singles 85>98 and Exciter eras

2. I like Mixes for the Masses. biggrin

3. I wish I could see! Are you gonna update it with the newly done remixes for the box set and the inevitable ones from new singles?

My DVD-Rom of ambient music artist mp3s was my latest project. From Eno to the Orb...just tons of albums arranged into neat folders with the album name and release year wrtitten beside it...It actually takes up about 2 DVDs by now! No art yet, but I should try and finish a rough version with listings on a cover and cool artwork...actually , I'm going to do it as soon as I can! I may try and post rsults!

1. Just what it sounds like, a jewel case that holds six CDs. I used to get them at this annual record convention in Austin. I haven't been to one in ages, so I don't know if I could still get them.

2. thumbs up! Thanks!!!!

3. I wish you could see them as well! I will, eventually, get around to re-doing them. I have no CD burner at the moment, so it will take a while (I cannot tell you how annoying it is to be without a burner). What I will probably do is a new set that is a continuation of the official box set.

Miguel...

Here's what I came up with for the front. Tell me how you like it, k? This is the front panel on the right and when you fold it, the inside panel on the left. I'm still working on the back with the tracklist and whatnot. Is this at all what you had in mind?

And here's what I came up with for the back...

The little tabs on the side are to fold up for your jewel case inlay. biggrin

You've just made me bump this project up to high priority. worship

I might even actually have it ready to go by the time the first single for the new album comes out. giggle
