Venom : Welcome to Hell

And they're not kidding. It's hideous, horrible noise. But it is metal, of sorts. I challenge anyone to listen to the entire album all in one go. Can't be done.

I haven't listend to venom is years \m/

yea i listen too all of them already asside from kittie. What im looking for is basically something i haven't hear of and different i guess.

I would recommend Kittie's last album only. How about Dimmu Borgir? Their 'Death Cult Armageddon' album was pretty good. I also like Lullacry, but they are more poppy.

Death metal really isn't my thing. But thanks.

I have a few My Ruin CDs. Tairrie B isn't bad, but I think her style is closer to nu metal, just a little harder.

I think Shadow Project is more death rock. I have three of their CDs. If that's what you're looking for then go for the first two studio albums, 'Shadow Project' and 'Dreams For The Dying'. Their third studio album 'From The Heart' is very mellow and spiritual. It might have been recorded after Eva O found religion. I saw them live in NYC back in 1993--great show. Rozz R.I.P.

My Ruin - Speak And Destroy (2000)

My Ruin - A Prayer Under Pressure of Violent Anguish (2001)

My Ruin - Horror of Beauty (2003)

The last two albums are the better ones. I think they have a new release coming out this month.

You are pretty young if you were in high school in 2001. Not like some of us old farts. When I was in high school, my friends listened to Iron Maiden and DLR Van Halen because those bands were current, lol.

Killswitch Engage - When Darkness Falls, and also Rose of Sharyn

They have death sounding vocals with melodic choruses.
