I don't care what the title is, it just better be great! I gaveaway his disappointing, Baptist CD to somebody. I wasted $10 bucks on it. I only liked 3 songs from that joint. Check me out and add me on:

yeah, I know, the japanese bonustrack "uncharted terrain" was better than anything on that otherwise shitty album.. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I've liked Lenny since the beginning of his career. I look forward to new music from him, but I certainly hope his new stuff will be better than his last release. It was a bit lame, so let's hope Lenny realizes it too and puts out something much better this time around.

Lenny's first 3 albums were great, but after that there were some hits (on 5), unfortunately nothing new and inspiring.
he just stopped touring Europe, I don't believe, that he starts promoting the new album just 2-3 months after world tour. but lets wait and see

the release of lenny's new album may be postponed until early 2006 according to someone from Virgin Records. There is no official statement on the new album, a few sites have listed nov. 8 as the release date though...
guess we'll just have to wait a little longer for the funk...

His first 3 were good, but after that, I think he got caught up and became unfocused. That's death to an artist. Gotta keep your focus. U can still party, spend your money, women, travel, all that good stuff. Nothing wrong with that. BUT, it's GOT to be about the art. Music first. I think Lenny lost his way there for awhile. I've seen Lenny twice live, and at two different stages of his career. I'll always support Lenny. He's another brother, like myself, that's doing his black rock thing. Regardless of what folks think. Now, when it comes to "funk', I don't think that's truly Lenny's bag. I believe he adores funk, who doesn't? BUT, don't think Lenny can truly "play" funk. He's been talking about doing a funk album for years now. Which is evidence that he's not the comfortable in slanging it. It's like he almost feels "obligated"to do a funk album. Like Jimi, it bothers Lenny that he doesn't get airplay on black stations and that he doesn't really have a black following. That's shit that P never had to deal with. Well Price on one hand is everchanging. He can do his Funk, Blues, Orchestra, Jazz and Rock just as easily as counting to 1,2,3..look at how fast he threw that jazz fusion in the end of "Marrying Kind" then straight to Blues without a problem on "On The Couch" Can / Does Lenny have that approach? No, but on 5 his more funky side was coming out and sounding great... Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Yea. I loved his first four albums, but everything after Circus has pretty much been his or miss, and I could really do without all of the "baptism" album, including the aforementioned uncharted territory. I don't know where he made a wrong turn, to my ears anyway, but I'm still waiting hopeful that he'll come back and drop an LP as strong as Let Love Rule or Circus again. So I'll buy the new album, take it home, roll one up, and listen.
to be continued, ha. Keep your headphones on.
