Do yourself a favour and pick up The Hounds of Love. In fact, make sure you get the UK re-release from a few years ago. It was remastered with bonus tracks (such as the brilliant "Under the Ivy"). It's a great introduction to her work.

i mean, she's great an all, but she only releases like one album on average every 4-5 yrs, she never tours, she does very little promoting, she's an aquired taste for most...

yet she remains incredibly popular and succesful.

I think I'm one of the few fans who LOVES "Heads We're Dancing". It was a song that I overlooked at first.....after the first listen I didn't think much of it and didn't really listen to it alot compared to th other songs on Sensual World. I love it now though. I have this choreographed ballet dance in my mind everytime I hear it.....I know.....C-O-R-N-Y!

that's one track i usually skipped. but i can say her absence help me appreciate alot of her earlier stuff, which i didn't know all that well, so i started digging and believe it or not i'd say The Kick Inside, Lionheart and Never Forever are her best! And of course Hounds of Love ranks up there somewhere.
