You know you're desperate in an argument when you have to resort to making fun of other things the person likes.

FYI, my favourite director is Stanley Kubrick, and my favourite movie is The Shawshank Redemption.

I love Star Wars movies (III-VI) for the heart, action, imagination, and underlying themes like redemption and spirituality.

But yeah, OMGWTFLOL He likes tha StarWarz? what a loosar!

it took you a minute to think about this huh?

and yet, you're doggin' what other's like but we can't talk about Star Wars...

cry me a riva Justin.....

I finally felt like responding to it is all.

It's not that you can't talk bad about Star Wars. It's just that doing it out of nowhere when the topic is Neo Soul is pretty random and lame.

D'Angelos Voodoo is a masterpiece! When I heard it for the first time my jaw dropped at how unique is was and how beautiful the music was. I don't know what has happened to D, but I do miss him.

India Arie and Donnie Hathaway also have some beautiful music out there. As for the others, I'm not a big fan, so I won't comment further.

I think you mean "Donnie" and not D. Hathaway. Yeah, Donnie's debut "The Colored Section" is the muthafuckin shit!

\Man Voodoo was boring as hell. Other than Chicken Grease, Feel Like Making Love and Untitled..I never really wanted to jam it. It has a very old vibe to it, a very southern back home in Africa feel in it. Deep in the ground...deeeep.

Let's not start this again. There was a thread about 'Voodoo' a few weeks ago that went maybe 200 posts deep. People's opinions on it seemed to be split down the middle.

That's cool. Doing it by randomly attacking something I love just seems silly though.

What a way to defend Neo Soul.

You think it's boring? Well...Uh....Star Wars sucks!

Well I think most alterative rock today and days b4 was crap too, and sounded the same..not all though wink

Can't disagree with that. Also boring.

I don't think what gets played on most radio and video outlets is a good representation of what's really out there. The music that you are most likely to hear through those channels are meant to appeal to the largest amount of people possible, which often times means it's watered-down crap. Real good stuff that will make your head spin is usually a little more underground. You just have to look for it.
