Ok, I have to confess that Karen Carpenter makes me tear up a little some times. "Goodbye to Love," "Solitaire" especially.

I'll never understand it, either. That macho trip is bullshit. CockBlocker. Eheh...

radiohead's "Exit Music (For a Film)" usually does the trick.
the songs "Like Spinning Plates", "Fog" and "True Love Waits" have the same effect and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

That's a lovely song. I'll drown my beliefs To have you be in peace I'll dress like your niece To wash your swollen feet Just don't leave Don't leave I'm not living I'm just killing time Your tiny hands Your crazy kitten smile Just don't leave Don't leave And true love waits In haunted attics And true love lives On lollipops and crisps Just don't leave Don't leave Just don't leave Don't leave i can't keep m back when he sings those lines and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

What kind of songs make me cry really depends on the situation.
Mostly I like to make myself cry heheh. I enjoy listening to an array of heartbreaking songs when I'm down. Some days though, I'm just working and a lyric catches my ear and just makes me think and blubber. Last example was last week when Sinead OConnors "Red Football" came on and I cried like a sissy imagining the poor crocodile in the song. I need a course in being a tough belching man. Now and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

It's still hauntingly beautiful...

Dont really put it on to cry.I dont cry but Johnny Cashs' cover of NIN's Hurt nearly does it for me.
The video did. [Edited 8/29/05 1:22am] Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Prince-Purple Rain
Prince-Sometimes it Snows in April Pink Floyd-The Gunner's Dream Pink Floyd-The Final Cut Radiohead-Paranoid Android Radiohead-We Suck Young Blood I think that's about it. I haven't cried to a song in a long, long time. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Given the right mood, just about anything might make me cry, whether sad or tears of joy or just cause it struck me in some way. Lately, everything's making me cry. So I'm more interested in what makes me smile. |
