I just got home from this gig and Lenny was fuckin' awesome. Definitely one of the best performances I've seen him give.
He made very similar comments to Prince about radio play and all the shit thats going on in the world. He also dedicated a song to the England football team after saying he thought they had a good chance of winning the World Cup. Rock On Lenny. Some people are like Slinkies...
They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I saw Kravitz in 1989 when i was 15 i loved the Let Love Rule album and Mama Said but from then on i reckon he lost his way. The latest one Lenny is supposed to be excellent though. Can anyone rate it compared to his other stuff?

I was on the blue side, seated, m77 (if that makes sense!) I must have missed what he said about radio play... was it said in a jokey manner, something like 'U play me on the radio! Thanx'? I was pissed ...! I cried my eyes out when he started doing "more than anything in this world...I just want u to be my woman..." It took me by suprise. I think he'd done some faster ones b4 that came on. He was great. ![]()

I was sitting in block 36 (V.I.P. section), I also had a backstage pass for the aftershow party and it didn't cost me a penny.
How jammy was that? Are you jealous yet? Some people are like Slinkies...

My ears are still ringing, it was totally fantastic, took his time coming out though and when we wanted to pay respect to the crowd! Cool.
His quote about the radio not playing his stuff was Princey and the Peace bit. Loved the feather arm glove too. I was in the standing area and managed to get close for when he took off his glasses. Cool again!!! NOW bring on the Celebration.Im ready
