ATTN fellow PJ Harvey fans As you all know, PJs last 2 albums were simply brilliant. Is This Desire & Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea are both about 45 minutes each. I made one cd with the following tracklist:
1-Angelene 2-Catherine 3-Leah 4-Joy 5-Kamikazee 6-The River 7-One Line 8-Electric Light 9-Big Exit 10-The Wind 11-Sky Lit Up 12-This is Love 13-Good Fortune 14-A Place called Home 15-Perfect Day Elise 16-You said something 17-The Garden 18-Beautiful Feeling 19-Is This Desire 20-Horses in My Dreams 21-We Float I love the albums each in their own way but I really love the combination of the two. I could cry at just how beautiful and moving each of these albums are. Just thought I'd share 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Sounds cool. Sorry I still haven't responded about the b-sides discs. If you're still interested, I can try to work on them over the next couple weeks. Are you going to the celebration? Hope all is going well with you.

I love P.J.Harvey's work.Aside from Me'Shell's 90's output,P.J.'s is some of the most relevant and exciting.
I was just listening to Stories...earlier today.Nothing like Good Fortune to pump me up. "When we walked through Little Italy,I saw my reflection come right off your fa-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ace!" Gives me the shivers. I'm surprised you didn't include the song from Batman Returns...One Time Too Many...love that!Actually,I can't think of anything she's done I haven't liked or loved. She's funky, dark, austere, sexy, sometimes not in charge, professionally in your face, restrained, gloomy, intense, spooky electric and so much more.

I'm STILL recovering from "Rid Of Me" and "To Bring You My Love" - I haven't quite warmed up to the more subdued, measured Polly Jean of more recent albums...not to say they aren't good.

PJ Harvey was one of THE most exciting things in music thru the 90s. To Bring You My Love still sends chills down my spine, just as it did the whole summer of that year. That tour was amazing ass well, I got to catch it at an outdoor, gen admission venue...YUMMMY>
Is This Desire caught me to. I haven't given the last cd its proper due yet, tho. I'll have to put it in my backpack and give it some time...
