Kanye Wins again Cover of Time Magazine What did I tell people about hatred propelling popularity ?
Kanye is a prime example of that. And don't think Prince doesn't like Kanye. He probably bumps Common's "BE" in his ride. This is gonna make me listen to his new album. Not buy it but listen to it

Not buy it but listen to it I'm not hating but to put things in perceptive Molly Ringwald was on the cover of "Time"....now she's in France and nobody cares! Jewel was also on the cover of "Time" as part of the Lilth Movement (Sarah McCagulin would have been a wiser choice). Time...will tell in that case.

Just read the article, and must say my appreciation for Kanye has doubled. As an aspiring producer/emcee myself, I find it hard to be inspired by much else going on musically right now (especialy in so-called hip-hop). Kanye has ambitions beyond rocking the mic and people should embrace that. When I read he hooked up with Jon Brion (of P.T. Anderson films fame), I thought it was part the of the evolution that's been missing as of late.Hip-hop, hell music as a whole, has gotten stagnant, and I find KW to be a breath of fresh air. I won't even bother posting on all these anti-Hip Hop threads, because it's obvious that person does not care to see bigger picture. Perhaps they would care for even MORE cooning from the likes of Lil' Jon, Ying Yang Twins, etc... The RZA took production in Hip Hop to a new place, and Kanye (who acknowledges he bit that chipmunk style from him) is doing the same. Keep on doing it. This rant is over.

Kanye gives a reaction to so many people outside of Hip Hop who don't like him.
It's weird because there is plenty of poison out there and Kanye just proves to me that people are going after the wrong targets. as for the comments he wont be here tommorrow: Molly Ringwald didnt have multiple platinum records and a rising record label Molly didn't have SA-Ra on her Roster. Kanye gets my respect as a businessman because he ousted himself from a car accident where he was laid up in the hospital and left for dead. If I was a agent I would love for a client to come in with a story like that and be like "Holy shit you are a cash cow" But I have this to say if Jon Brion gives Kanye the thumbs up then I know this guy isn't a slouch artist. The Time magazine cover is another raised middle finger to people who said he wouldn't make it. I have to admit I would never think the guy on Jay Z album would have raised out to be the new Trailblazer for Hip Hop. His P.R. Game is gangsta. Let me say that again so people understand who are cursing him out G A N G S T A A A H I watch Kanye and I say "Even people who hate him and don't listen to him are thinking about hating him somewhere in this world" That's deep. He got the time Cover before Pharrell. If Kanye ever teaches a class on how to be a star and successful. You can guranteee that classroom will be filled. I hope Prince and Kanye work together just to see the uproar in Princeville.

Maybe the real shit in hiphop of recent years makes someone like kayne seem really good. I admit he is different, but his music doens't sound that brand new to me.

Kayne is about to have a sticky
Easy on the multiple same-topic/artist threads, okay? ? If a certain topic on (let's say) Kayne West has already been posted, don't create another thread with the same topic.

Well he sure has a great pr team behind him.
I wouldn't get too sick of him because he will be around for the next few months. From now thru the Grammy awards he will be everyplace you look.

Thank goodness. Im grateful for that! Me too. I'll take Kanye over ALL them fake ass gangstas. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I think his personality needs adjustment. Then again maybe you have to be an egotistical fuck to achieve that kind of success... I think he's overhyped but I do like some cuts off the album
