Gimme a fucking break man. What? You don't like the Beatles? McCartney's one of the greatest songwriters ever. Because the guy is old he can't make good music? If you don't like McCartney and you wanna dis his music then go ahead but don't make these girlie man remarks.

That's pish too. [Edited 8/23/05 7:30am]

I'd have too say as a beatles fan (that even collects studio bootlegs)... the perception of John Lennon as the greater creative artist is quite the unresearched, conformist, wool over the mainstream public's eye. John Lennon did a lot of stupidly embarrassing stuff as well (we all know Prince does)... but both of them were pioneering as far as creative power. It was Paul McCartney who usually drove the group to new creative endeavors like the proto concept album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's CLub Band. His solo song, "Maybe I'm Amazed" is still one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, studio or live.

Its a great tune. One the first solo album, McCartney. I always wondered what it would have sounded like if he had done it with the Fabs.

I'd love to pick apart every little stereotype you assumed about me (they are all wrong) but I have more interesting things to do than waste my time. I will give you some advice. Next time you see a thread, if you have nothing interesting to add, just shut the f*** up and keep moving. And if you want to crack a joke, make sure it's funny first. And regarding McCartney: 1.) Yesterday 2.) Eleanor Rigby 3.) Fool On The Hill 4.) Let It Be 5.) BlackBird 6.) Maybe I'm Amazed 7.) Penny Lane 8.) Oh Darling 9.) Getting Better 10.)Got To Get You Into My Life That's just the tip of the iceberg. Now run along and get a life.

And you named ten good McCartney songs. I bet that took more brainpower and time to write than my post did, emilo.

Its a great tune. One the first solo album, McCartney. I always wondered what it would have sounded like if he had done it with the Fabs. Ill fucking second that one. One of the best songs he ever wrote. All the Paul haters seem to conveniently never mention that one, that or they've not heard it. Mind you I dont think it was on the Beatles Greatest hits, that might explain it.

co-fuckin-sign!! It's too bad that it was left off of Wings Greatest on a technicality of it being a solo Paul track. ![]()
