Gimme a fucking break man. What? You don't like the Beatles? McCartney's one of the greatest songwriters ever. Because the guy is old he can't make good music? If you don't like McCartney and you wanna dis his music then go ahead but don't make these girlie man remarks.

lol Okay, now you've displayed all the signs of a humourless man nursing an easily-provoked insecurity complex with the slight unhinged tint of insanity in your response, I'll attempt, in a clear, consise manner (in other words, nothin' too taxin' for yer wee pent-up, easily offended, right wing noggin') to convey the jist of my remark. Read carefully and keep breathing, mouth the words with your lips if you want, I'm not around to laugh or mock. What I meant was you and the other McCartney fan who posted in this thread look remarkably alike in your remarkably similar avatar pictures. Scroll up now. YOU STOPPED READING HERE. Remarkable, eh? That was all I was trying to say, but maybe I shouldn't have wrapped my thought up in an obviously impotent attempt at humour. The Hubble telescope couldn't locate the bridge of connection between Paul McCartney and my comment, a man who, incidentally, sings inane, mornic nonsense over music which makes Casio keyboard demos sound risky and challenging. In other words, absolutely uninspiring, meaningless, balless, souless cardboard, so inoffensive it's offensive, drivel and an insult to every elevator on ever-greying Planet Earth. Someone once said he only wrote one good song, guys. And it wasn't me. It was his old pal John Lennon, who incidentally, loathed him and his blandness, which he knew could only ever appeal to easiliy entertained, dulled by mundanity and the failed promises of their chosen spouses housewives, retards and pop-culture hypnotised clueless, unconciously trapped, chained-to-a-wheel-they-collectivey-turn-for-corporate-evil, jocks-in-a-box. You're lucky in a way, being so easily entertained and impressed. I envy you both.

PS - I am also aware of his material under the nom-de-plume of 'The Fireman'. That's pish too.

I'd have too say as a beatles fan (that even collects studio bootlegs)... the perception of John Lennon as the greater creative artist is quite the unresearched, conformist, wool over the mainstream public's eye. John Lennon did a lot of stupidly embarrassing stuff as well (we all know Prince does)... but both of them were pioneering as far as creative power. It was Paul McCartney who usually drove the group to new creative endeavors like the proto concept album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's CLub Band. His solo song, "Maybe I'm Amazed" is still one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, studio or live.

smile Hey man, I really don't care either way. John Lennon was an obnoxious, antagonistic, unloveable turd of a man most of the time, but aye, I quite admire his honesty and balls. I'm only here for the beer.

Its a great tune. One the first solo album, McCartney. I always wondered what it would have sounded like if he had done it with the Fabs.

Wow, you really need to get a life. I'd love to pick apart every little stereotype you assumed about me (they are all wrong) but I have more interesting things to do than waste my time.

I will give you some advice. Next time you see a thread, if you have nothing interesting to add, just shut the f*** up and keep moving. And if you want to crack a joke, make sure it's funny first.

And regarding McCartney:
1.) Yesterday
2.) Eleanor Rigby
3.) Fool On The Hill
4.) Let It Be
5.) BlackBird
6.) Maybe I'm Amazed
7.) Penny Lane
8.) Oh Darling
9.) Getting Better
10.)Got To Get You Into My Life

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Now run along and get a life.

Ill fucking second that one. One of the best songs he ever wrote. All the Paul haters seem to conveniently never mention that one, that or they've not heard it. Mind you I dont think it was on the Beatles Greatest hits, that might explain it.

co-fuckin-sign!! It's too bad that it was left off of Wings Greatest on a technicality of it being a solo Paul track.
