They both did the disco thing (or post-disco in Queen's case). I really liked Kiss in grade school because of their image naturally, but Queen's music is more varied.

Queen, but it was very close.

I never heard queens attempt at late disco. "hot space" I think it was called

"inuendo" is their best album.

This is hard.But since I have more Queen concerts than KISS, so based on that I choose Queen.We will Rock You-Live in Montreal-1981 is amazing..

Sorry to be the minority here..but I'm giving it to KISS. As far as it goes with live shows, KISS in the 70's did it well. They were my 1st rock concert. Queen had them in the video spots, but KISS put on one helluva live show from 75 to 80. KISS had their rivalry with Alice, Bowie, and P-Funk w/ the live shows. But even if you didn't like their music, KISS still gave you something visual. Later on, bands like Twisted Sister, CRUE, WASP, and Manson picked up where they left off.

The levitating stages, firebreathing, bombs, blood, makeup/costumes, smoking guitars and confetti...you didn't even have to be on drugs to enjoy a live KISS show in the 70's. I love Queen, but I'm gonna say KISS put on a better live show.

"kind of magic" is great in places, as I love the "highlander" samples (like "gimme the prize")

Queen musta been the first to use loadsa samples from a movie in a song. "flash" is a great song, particually in pubs.

My sentiments exactly. I dig Queen, especially their early albums. Both bands lead guitarists have been EXTREMELY influential on me as a guitarist, Ace Frehley and Brian May. BUT, everybody on here that pays any attention to my threads/posts knows that I'm a KISS freak. And have been every since I was 8 years old. So, KISS gets it, hands down.

Its like comparing a hand job to a blow job. Both get u off but at a comparatively different emotional level.

Yeah, the Disco Hits EP was mostly 'Hot Space' tracks with their big 1980 dance hit "Another One Bites The Dust" added on to the end. I've heard a few tracks, but never the whole 'Hot Space' album. Might be interetsing.

They are huge in UK, and no denying their live aid performance will never be bettered.

I recently heard a live Kiss recording, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst live performances I have ever heard in my life.

The singing was piss weak and out of tune, the guitar playing sounded like the guy had my mom's oven gloves on and the rhythm section - the best bit in this case - was plodding and lifeless.

Queen, on the other hand, had a real spirit to their live performances, and had one of the finest singers ever to grace the world of Rock.



So, I think you can guess what my answer is to this one....!
