That Savage was the last great album they made and that was almost 20 years ago.

I do love "We Too Are One"! smile

I love "We Too Are One"... there are some amazing things on it, in particular "Don't Ask Me Why". But I do think there are some things on it, like "Angel", that hint toward the more mellow and less edgy Annie Lennox solo material.

I would have to agree that "Savage" is their last GREAT album, but they did have some individual songs that were great after "Savage". "17 Again", in particular.

I love a lot of We Too Are One and Peace as well, but I don't think they compare to any of Annie's 3 solo albums or Eurythmics' best work. I thought Revenge and Be Yourself were spotty in parts too. They started off really strong and I think became more of a singles act with time.

Some things should be left alone...

Stevie Wonder shouldn't be covered...
Bananarama shouldn't have come back a duo...
and Eurythmics makin' a comeback? - They don't really need to! They are on totally different tangents and being successful respectively.

IMHO I think that anyone who wants 2 reunite a band that split for so long must be desperate for attention (see Bananarama).
Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox are legends who ain't desperate at all (at least in a public eye sense). disbelief

However, a one-off reunion could be emotive and I'd rather see that!

Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

why are we always denying "talent" the right to work together again? if they get back and produce something wonderful then let them...it doesnt have to be Savage2..or Sweet Dreams (Again)...

but please, if its a sucky album like their last few..spare us all and dont release it..but if its great; bring it on!!

wink

I'd put Peace as the best album they've done since 1984: For the Love of Big Brother.
