Eminem cancels European leg of tour due to "exhaustion"

Citing exhaustion complicated by other medical issues, Eminem has canceled his European tour dates.

The shows are not expected to be rescheduled, according to a statement released by his record label late Tuesday (August 16).

was due to headline the European leg of the Anger Management 3 tour, which begins September 1 in Hamburg, Germany, and wraps up September 17 in Meath, Ireland.

The rapper's spokesperson had no more information on Em's medical status or whether the tour would continue on with 50 Cent as headliner. 50 and G-Unit headlined some concerts this summer on off nights from Anger Management (see "50 Cent To Keep Rapping On Anger Management's Off Days").

In an interview backstage at a recent tour stop, Eminem said he put a lot of effort into planning the tour (see "Eminem: 'I'm Not Retiring' "). "We spent a lot of money, we really anteed up the stakes this time," he said. "We know that people are coming to not just see us get onstage and rap, they're coming to see a show."

It's been a bit of a rough ride, however, for the third installment of Anger Management. A tour bus crashed during the first week and seriously injured Eminem's DJ (see "Anger Management Tour Bus Crashes; Stat Quo, Eminem's DJ Among Those Injured"). And last week, Young Buck and Lloyd Banks were arrested for gun possession after a New York show (see "Young Buck, Lloyd Banks Arrested For Gun Possession").

All that speaking to a microphone for about an hour, several days a week, must be really exhausting. nod

Yeah, he sold out in Ireland and one but not both of his UK dates. The latter is quite telling, because the last timne he played all tickets went in under two hours. His moment's passed.

this is how he is generating interest in the tour

Carey furious over Eminem concert prank

Pop superstar Mariah Carey is reportedly furious with Eminem for playing intimate answerphone messages she left him to huge audiences during his Anger Management tour.

The We Belong Together singer left the voice-mail for the rap star when he worked on Carey's Charm Bracelet album in 2001.

PageSix.com reports the private messages feature Carey begging: "I heard you were getting back with your ex-wife. Why won't you see me? Why won't you call me? You're not calling me."

He's sharing this tour with how many other rappers? The exhaustion excuse is suspect and for the love of God let the Mariah thing go.

Those supposed messages (some say it's a sound-a-like) are years old. Him insulting and trying to battle women like rappers is tired. What a poor excuse for a man. Anger Management my ass. Get therapy already.

Apparently, this is far more serious than low tickets sells. Here in Detroit, the radio stations are buzzing about Em. They are saying that he's sick confused And that it's serious

Smooches;)

Sometimes exaustion is really a code word for addiction. Maybe Em is just too high to travel through Europe.
