Aw, thanks X, for sending me my fave Abba songs. Had them, but burned them onto another disc somewhere.

My faves;

All bullshit aside, I thought ABBA had good pop song writers and harmonies. Some of the songs I liked by them were: What's The Name Of The Game, Lay All Your Love On Me, Knowing Me, Knowing You and Give Me A Man After Midnight.

The Visitors is amazing as well.

Their harmonies are just maddingly good, even when there is an overdose of cheesiness involved.

I've been a fan of Abba ever since I saw The Muppets do "Take a Chance." Anyone see that, all the birds knocking eachother off the power lines? biggrin

I couldn’t really tell you what is my favourite song with Abba I just about love them all (please don’t make me choose I can’t do it), cheesy pop tunes that stand the test off time. Makes one wanna get up and dance and they always put me in a great mood. shhh Little secret: this kitty plays Abba’s music more than Prince’s (don’t hurt me). I feel better now my little secret it out in the open now giggle

I have just put on the Definitive Collection and skipt to track 10 first disc and now singing Mamma Mia will be back when i stop howling falloff

Hahaha, that is the funniest thing! I can't even remember that one!

I became a fan at conception. My two year older sister had this two album greatest hits we played all of the time. We playbacked along to it and I always wanted to me Agnetha, I put pyjama-pants on my head to pretend it was Agnetha's long hair! LoL

Oh my God! My sister made me gay!

I was in hospital a lot when young and one off my best memories was the hospital radio constantly playing Abba songs. I had to live some off my childhood in a germ free tent and on one occasion they played Take A Chance On Me I bounced up and down on that bed and put my head through the tent. I so got into trouble for that dancing jig

I looove ABBA. Why, I could sing Mamma Mia long before I understood a word of the lyrics. biggrin

I grew up with an Abba poster on my wall. biggrin

ABBA were on TV all the time. My sisters loved 'em, too. My mother and her husband at the time took us to see ABBA The Movie. It was great! woot!

I have all of their music and it's all good, although - of course - some songs are better than others. My favorite album is probably The Visitors, but I really, really love the self-titled ABBA album a lot, too! touched

The only annoying thing is that there is a song entitled Carrousel performed live in Abba The Movie that has never been released on record. It sounds really good and I want it! NOW! stab

I love the hit songs, but their studio albums are a bit dire. My brother is a big fan, but I never really took to the fact that the girls have this amazing harmony going on, but they sing every song in the same tone. Subtle ballads are sung at the same volume as the big loud dance numbers, like they're airport announcers or something.
