I wasn't arguing with u, just curious as thats what I heard. Its pretty ironic that a black woman invented the weave. For some reason I thought a white woman woulda done. Iam sure calhoun square knows. How the fuck would I know who invented the weave??

This is true! just like white girls getting tanned and lip injections and butt implants and cornrows and shit!
True but I don't agree on the butt part . I don't go tanning because I have very fair skin and I don't wanna be looking like leather in 20 years time. I think that it's ok if you wanna get conrows if you're white but if ure doing all the time, then you're just trying to be black. Like this girls at my work got weaves, I was like u ain't black why are you getting those. We can just get our hair done like that for 20-30 dollars and not waste 300 dollars on it. Besides that, I don't mind if black women get weaves or blond weaves but if they have it all the time like Beyonce, it makes me wonder if they are trying to be white. So white girls don't try to look black?
It's on both sides. Some white girls try to be black while some black girls try to be white.

Beyonce is what I call "expected beauty"....light skinned, long hair, blah, blah, blah....she's a pretty girl but nothing new or different. I like the blonde on HER....and I don't look at Beyonce thinking she's setting black women back. For many black AMERICAN men, she is what a black woman should look like...that's the unforunate part. Wigs for those kind of performers are so outdated, IMO Custom wigs are still quite popular especially for emergencies like schedule changes and last minute situations, etc. Less maintenance and time than a weave especially a good weave. I'm really surprised that some people think weaves are only for black women. In showbizness both genders and all races have been getting weaves since forever. Myth #1: non-black women don't get weaves Myth #2: only black women get weaves Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Okay I DEFINITELY know your not black -- it doesn't cost $300 to get cornrows - it's only 20- 30$ for black women as well -- also MOST black women do NOT need weave for cornrows -- actually I would charge a white person that much because it's hard to cornrow white hair -- it's too thin and I would have to add hair in to make it thick enough to braid it and make it stay-- if not it would only last for a day maybe two -- ironic huh?

There are some people out there who are white that think that black women are trying to be white by getting these weaves and blond weaves. One of my friends were talking and she said that Beyonce and Christina Milan look white. No offense but I have to agree somewhat. Beyonce always wears those blond weaves and her skin looks almost white at times. I saw Christina Milan on Bet 106 and Park and she looked pretty close to white! U know what, I KNOW a few white girls like u. They're always bragging about how big their asses are and how much "the brutha's love it" but then turn right around and say some stupid shit like a popular black female looks "white". Which is implying that because u and other folks think that Beyonce and Milan are pretty, then they have to look white. U know damn well that Beyonce and Milan doesn't look white. It's funny how you're all up on "black women aren't the only ones with big asses" vibe, but then u have a problem with black women having blonde streaks in their hair. You're only cool when it suits u, (white girl, big ass) which is stepping into the black female domain. You're all for that shit, but don't let a sexy ass black woman put blonde anything in her hair, which is stepping into the white woman's domain, u have a problem with that. That's some sissy ass double standard shit right there. I don't know if u stated that to try to offend blacks or what, but, u showed far more of yourself than u realize. I think her weaves & wigs generally come out 50-50: The only wigs I like on her are those long 1960's mod ones with bangs; those are usually pretty against the shape of her face...also, when she has a ceremony to attend, I find that her "up-do's" as my hairstylist sister refers to them, usually come out really lovely...beyond that, what I really wish for Beyonce is that her momma would stop sticking those damned bows all over her outfits; there's not a fashion stylist I know the entire world over (myself included) that does not shudder every time we see a photo op where Big Mama Knowles has stuck yet another bow on that child like she's some by-gone relic from the era of Martha and the Vandellas... I'm tellin' y'all, she's REALLY annoying the fashion community at large with that one...
