I actually prefer the other woman in the video over Gwen. And I'd love the song without those "summer-y" sounding synths (the type that are on "Underneath The Cream" as well). I don't know, they just sort of make it sound cheaper, another type of sound would have worked better. And those guitars could have done with some boost in the volume so the song would have been more effective. But what can you do?

You have to FIGHT the inner emotions of want and envy and then suppress them with maturity. It's a challenge that would bring anyone to tears. So, I think that's what Gwen's melancholy is conveying: just how mature, classy and tough it is to be kewl. But she pulls it off  | |
