INXS ROCKSTAAAAH!

Okay, I know you people ain't watching this show - where INXS is picking a new singer, American Idol style, but, well, the show tonight is kicking my ass! For whatever reason, the contestants are really bucking it tonight. The previous nights were serious yawners, but tonight, honestly, I can see at least half of these contestants breaking out with their own label deals within 6 months.

But, you know, let's talk about Madonna, Janet and Duran Duran, cuz, ain't nothing like artists from 20 years ago...

(sure, I'm talking about INXS, but, more imporantly, I'm talking about the future artists that'll spin out of this show)

i frickin love this show. i'll never be able to watch those crap 'idol' shows again. THESE people actually have talent.

Jordis and Marty are at the top of my list.
Deanna, JD and Ty aren't too bad either.
Tara and Brandon will be the next 2 to go (hopefully).
the rest fall in the middle there somewhere!!

She's the highlight for me every week. Although JD is easy on the eyes I just don't like him.

Me and my fiancee are big supporters for Ty on this show! He just plain rocks & kicks ass, but he doesn't seem to garner the kudos from Navarro and INXS like he should. Hmmmm, I wonder why... hmmm He clearly has the best personality up there on the stage and by far the best voice out of all of 'em. I need to start votin' to make sure he doesn't get in the bottom 3 again.

I like Ty a lot, but his broadway experience really shows through - almost too much at times, where you get the feeling that the dude ain't REALLY bringing his A game to the stage, instead, he's going through rehearsed steps.

Which, okay, who ISN'T doing that up there, but, for some reason, sometimes his moves just scream (I tried this 20 times in front of the mirror). I think that's the biggest complaint that the band has had about him.

Me, I like Jordis and JD - he's an asshole but man, the dude is a great performer. I don't even really like his voice all that much, but he seems to be the rawest. I dunno.

Ty does nothing I don't see lenty of other performers do onstage. He's just being charismatic and showing some personality when onstage, and not to the point of overdoing it either. I just feel INXS has it out for him, and there's just no way they'll want him fronting them. I do think some of it is a color thing (yeah, I went there), cuz the man damn sure has the tools to be a good frontman for 'em. Here's to hoping he'll end up in, at the very least, the top 2-3.

I don't feel TY's style fits with these old rockers. He should just come out with his own album. He has "IT", but I see him as an original artist rather than singing INXS covers.

How come no one has mentioned how kick ass that house band is!!!!! I don't think there is a classic or current rock song they can't play. And their background vocals on that Queen song..... headbang

I know I said wasn't gonna watch this, but I did kinda wanna see when they actually start doing INXS songs. I think I missed it though. I never watch CBS, the channel is kinda non-existent to me, which is why I keep forgetting about this show.

They do INXS tunes every Wednesday. Unfortunately, the ones singing the INXS tunes are the ones who get the lowest votes, and this is the method they use to determine who stays and who goes.

So, then, you're hearing the crappiest of the group do some INXS. It blows, but, you know, well, it's kinda cool when members of INXS jump up there and play in the house band. That's pretty kickass.

I don't think it's a color thing. If it was , INXS would have never had Terence Trent D'arby fronted their band in the past.

I hate that limited-range, mimbo J.D. with the white-hot passion of a thousand suns.

Jordis is a good singer, but "not right for our band, INXS". evillol

Mig is Australian, a good singer and not a moron (ahem, J.D.?). I'm bettin' on the Migster.

Ty is a technically great singer, but I do agree that he seems a little "Broadway".

usually i would agree with you completely...he usually feels too rehersed/planned/staged to me...however last nights performance really touched me....i thought it was incredible.

There's something about his manner onstage (the showbiz smile?) that just doesn't seem sincere. I liked his version of "No Woman", but it didn't really blow my skirt up. shrug

I didn't really care for his version of "No Woman No Cry".....and I'm not just saying that because I like Bob. It just doesn't seem like a good cover song. Hell, it's not even one of my favorites by him to be honest. Everyone keeps raving about Jordis, but I keep missing her perform. I love her hair though. smile

Jordis is one of my faves by far but i was very disappointed in her this week. Her 'Layla' was way off.

i was really worried about Ty doing 'No woman.." it is my fave Bob song. i really liked it (see above post lol) but thats just my opinion. i felt he actually 'felt' what he was singing this week and it impressed me.
