Madonna fan site DrownedMadonna has just conducted an interview with "Like A Virgin" songwriter Billy Steinberg (who co-wrote the hit with Tom Kelly).

Included is the original "Like A Virgin" demo sung by Tom Kelly with Steinberg on back-up.

Anyone else notice a resemblence to early-I Wanna Be Your Lover/I Feel For You Prince? Both in the music production & the vocal style?

I've always thought that song kind of ripped-off "Billie Jean."

Actully the song borrows the bassline from "I Just Can't Help Myself." During the Virgin Tour Madonna and Patrick Leonnard, who had just work on the Jackson's Victory Tour, included the Bridge of Billie Jean into the performace of Like A Virgin. On the Who's That Girl Tour The Chours to "I Just Can't Help Myself" was included
