and honestly, who cant deny that Prince doesnt pay close attention to D.. He's mentioned him in two of his songs.. the liner notes of Crystal Ball.. always droppin notes about him on his site years ago here and there..

I can agree that Badu and Scott had an influence, and even D'Angelo on Brown Sugar, but Voodoo was just as tepid, in my mind, as anything on NPS or Rave. I don't find the grooves on Voodoo to be organic, in the slightest. Its boring, stripped down drum sounds that are more akin to the horrid beats Kirky J was doing on NPS than ANYTHING on TRC.
