I tried to like Voodoo, I really did, but I just LOATHE that album.

I bought the album, having only heard a live performance of "Chicken Grease", so I really didn't know what to expect. I surely wasn't expecting the pseudo-funk sounds that he and ?uestlove were churning out on this disc.

Still, so many people were saying "oh, you just have to listen to it some more, there are so many layers to it". Well, I just don't see it. Boring, tepid funk-lite that isn't as good as the crap P put on NPS (and I think everyone knows how much I detest that album).

I think its pathetic when people say you HAVE to be stoned in order to appreciate an album. Hey, Dark Side of the Moon is better stoned, but it is also a masterpiece when you're sober. Without any drugs, Voodoo is just plain boring
