Fever replaced Goodbye to Innocence on the album

That's too bad (not that "Fever" is a bad track....but for my money you can put "Up Down Suite" over a few tracks cause it is that hot!)

yes, i know. it was a fortunate decision. while Fever is pretty disposable 13 years later (aside from "edit one" which is hot hot hot), Goodbye To Innocence's biggest attraction is in the fact that it's an undiscovered gem. had it been track 2 on the album, it'd probably not have a very big following.

it's like the early version of Human Nature

and both of them are a bit too MJ "why's everybody always pickin' on poor pitiful me"... and the song of that ilk that he loves.

which is why i'm pleased at the "no messages" announcement from Ms. Rosenberg, because as much as i love AL, i was beginning to dread that every other song from her from now on was going to be one of those, like it is with MJ.

Guess I'm one of the few people that loves that song and prefers it a lot over "Goodbye to Innocence".

Nobody Knows Me is great. but it, along with Hollywood, AL, and I'm So Stupid... all of which are inferior to NKM... it adds up to too much bitching about the hardships of celebrity. boofuckinghoo.

SassyBritches

i love the org! you guys chose my music for me all day long! i woke up this morning and checked things out here, saw the janet v madge threads, and went about my day (which after a LONG weekend of work was ALL for ME!) listening to these songs on my ipod.

i've always wanted to like janet. more than i do but i can't help it...and i know i'm in the minority here...but i only like abut half of that cd! from the start until around funky big band (she loses me there) its fantastic. she loses my attention until again comes on and then, once again, she loses my attention. oops gets me back but then its over. for me personally, janet. is her weakest record. eek yes, i know a lot of you have just dropped your jaw but i can't help it. i'm just not mad about the record.

erotica on the other hand has far more consistency for me. while i always skip fever and why's it so hard, the rest of the cd is perfection! in the right mood i may even listen to fever (not why's it so hard, though...i always abhor that track).

anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest. lol

janet.

is there ever a time/instance/album that you would vote for madonna over janet?

i'm partial to madonna but i love janet too and i feel that i can pick and choose which moments of each were better/worse...do you like jan that much better?
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me
