Bowling For Soup "Ohio"?????? Has anyone here ever heard of the band Bowling for Soup??? Here in Austin, some stations are playing the heck out a the song "Ohio (Come Back To Texas)." I love it!!! Of course I would. Everyone here seems to love it. It's off their new(??) cd, A Hangover You Don't Deserve. I'm gonna a pick up a copy of the cd coz I love "Ohio," but have any of you all heard of the band?? | |

Yeah, they're pretty old. Much more pop sound now. When they were new and underground, it was a little more punk. Now they're more MTV. | |

I had never heard of the band before. That how much I pay attention to "underground" music. Wow. I'm out of touch. Is the cd new??? I'm telling ya they are playing the heck out of that song here in Austin. I want to buy it of course coz of the Austin connection... I'm not sure of the other tracks though. | |

I remember the 1985 video. It seemed a bit on the verge of bandwagon jumping but it was fun enough. Never heard anything else by them. | |

Major puke-fest, as is "Almost". They really have that whiny brat voice I absolutely loathe in rock music (see also Simple Plan, Sum 41, whoever sang "Teenage Dirtbag", etc.) Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! It's deep that they the write a song about somebody who leaves another relationship and falls in love with someone in Cleveland. Pretty interesting. [Edited 8/1/05 0:09am] | |
