I like Kiss better only because they have more songs that I like than Queen. Kiss can't fuck with "Another One Bites The Dust" though, that was a jam from hell.

Kiss are a case of Style making up for lack of content.

Queen used their style to compliment and accentuate the strengths of their work, not hide the holes.

Queen were better with the funk & disco moments than KISS were (IMHO). And it also help that Freddie was a huge Chic fan at the time. cool

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. Everyone has their fave, for whatever reason. Side note: Brian May said that he has always dug KISS. They were even on the same bill in 74, but the show got cancelled. Anyway, Brian said that Queen and KISS, in the early years, were often compared to each other in the media and that he has a soft spot for them.
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

They were also similarly dismissed by some critics for their theatricality. For some, the bombast superceded the music. Ultimately, I think, that became KISS' downfall - they became what their critcs accused them of being.

Yeah, especially with fake ass replacement members. That shit blows. If Ace and Peter aren't there in full makeup, fuck it then.

I don't know who is better but I have to say that as songwriters Kiss are totally underated. There's not a bad track on the first six studio albums (well, maybe "Hooligan"). I admit that for the last 10 years or so Kiss have totally lived off their past, but back in the '70s they were the kings.

Queen all the way...Freddie Mercury by himself on stage would kick Paul and Gene's asses with one note...I've listened to live Kiss shit and some of it is some good ol' rock & roll circus shit, which at times is very entertaining..But there was something magestic about Queen's stage show...Freddie was truely a ham....

I remember Kiss lasting a little longer than that. I think they had a top ten hit in the U.S. in the early 90s.
