Rick James Live DVD Is Here! I just picked up my copy today.....
The concert includes the songs: Into Ghetto Life Big Time All Day All Night Freaky Fire It Up Love Gun Guitar Solo Harp Solo (Call Me Up) Big Day Standing On The Top Mary Jane Mary Jane March You And I Give It To Me Baby Super Freak Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of seeing Rick live so this was a real treat for me. Rick turned it out in this concert. Yall Rick James fans better get your copy! Andy is a four letter word. | |

I posted a picture of it but, for some reason, it is not showing up. Anyway, the concert took place on April 3, 1982 in Essen, Germany. It was Rick's first concert in Europe. It even has someone at the beginning that introduces him. It is a trip to see the introducer speaking totally in German except for the words "Rick James and Stone City Band". I got dvd copy of this show Tuesday, I already had the bootleg VHS version since 2000, great show!!!

I had my local record store to special order mine. If I didn't, I wouldn't have mine either because when I asked them if they were going to get it, they had no knowledge of it. I got my copy at Tower Records last night & the quality is excellent.I can now throw away my bootleg copy whose quality wasn't good anyways. They also released a DVD of five of his promos & a CD called Rick James & Friends vol.2. | |

I just got the new issue of SPIN magazine in the mail and there was an ad for this. I never got the chance to see Rick live either, so this should be cool. | |
