The only Sly I have is Anthology.

I almost got that one, but Essential had Loose Booty.
You gotta have some Loose Booty.

I always find it a little strange when people are really into the music that was popular when they were born more than the music that was popular when they were growing up.

It is a bit strange, but what can I say? 1980 had a lot more to offer me than the 90s.

That one year has more that you like than the entire decade of the 90's?

I like 1980 more than any single year from the 90s, yes.

Donna Summer - "Bad Girls"
Prince - "Prince"
Michael Jackson - "Off The Wall"
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

It doesn't have more to offer than the entire decade, but I would be hard pressed to find a year that comes close to 1980...or 1981, 1982 or 1983 for that matter.

My only problem with Essential is that it's missing Que Sera, Sera. I may get it anyway.

I definitely need Abbey Road. Then that will be two albums from my birth year.

This is the closest album that I own to the year that I was born.....

It was released in 1966 and I was born in 1967. Since I was born in September, I wasn't even conceived yet when this album was released. Nevertheless, this one is the closest one I own.

It was my mother's album originally. When my CD burner was working, I burned her a CD of it and she gave me her vinyl copy since she doesn't have a turntable any more. It's the original album and it has plenty of good ole vinyl snap, crackle, and pop. lol

Altered Images - Bite (1983)

Very underrated new wave band (to which NWF will attest).
