TRANSFORMER

today i bought the album TRANSFORMER by Lou Reed because i deserved it, ok? (i did a good audition for a movie, fingers crossed))

i am starting to be quite a big David Bowie fan and when i found out he produced it, i had to have it. also because of WALK ON THE WILD SIDE of course. that is a classic.

the strange thing is that the CD is a different edition than the cover states. oh well, the music is still great.

you like it?

(and a great back cover too: )

It's pretty great. Makes a logical transition between the campy cabaret of Hunky Dory and the full on glam of Ziggy Stardust.

The only complaint I have about this album and his ones with Iggy Pop is that sometimes I wish they were just Bowie. boxed

Again, another perfect bridge between the seemingly unrelated Bowie albums on either side of it.

"The Idiot" falls between "Station to Station" and "Low".

Yeah, I know.

But it's like with Prince protege albums. You can hear his influence all over their records, but you sometimes wish it was just him.
