Things off the chest, Vol. 2 There's no excuse for people who decry the lack of good music these days NOT to explore jazz. It's everything they're looking for and it's cheaper to buy.
What in the world happened to Das EFX? People complain about neo-soul, but sometimes what I think they really want to hear is mimicry of the 60's and 70's masters. I heard Ghostface and MF Doom were planning a collabo. Sweet. I may check out the White Stripes' new joint. Guilty movie pleasures: Bedazzled, Grease 2, Flash Gordon Why, in hip-hop today, are its stars: a) created off of 2 weeks buzz; b) celebrated for their "thug life" personae, c) going platinum instantly off of sing-songy hooks and blase lyrics, and d) disappearing 2 months later? Is it just me, or is Jill Scott, who has made 2 of the best soul albums in recent memory, a little self-obsessed? If you don't have any of these artists in your music collection, I highly recommend you add them: Bill Evans, Wayne Shorter, Wes Montgomery, Horace Silver. Rock music is dead.
Sex tapes will always get out. Never use a white dildo on a Black female rapper. 5,000 people saw Eve get her pussy pumped and didn’t say a damn thing. The Joe Jackson Canadian Pic will always be funny. I’ve never heard the song Holla Back Girl. Sorry 2004 by Ruben is a really good song. I’ve never watched a full American Idol show. Stop hating on Bjork, she rules. Bono use to be cool. U2 is not on the level with any great 70’s band. U2 have the best bootlegs. I like Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, Kayne West I Think Beyonce, Alicia Keys, R.Kelly, are all talented. Prince fell off with Graffiti Bridge, not Batman. Fams overrate Lovesexy and Dirty Mind. Lean Back is one of the greatest songs ever. Jay Z never made anything as gangsta as Hate Me Now or Made you look. Tupac is not the G.O.A.T

(lited from another thread I responded.)
Hiphop and nu soul got shit after 2000 (roughly) In rnb in general, every track features someone else on it. Cross promotion I beleive it is called. Where once u get famous, u get ur friend famous, and so everyone wins as u get both fans of both artists buying the music. This happened years ago now. Neo soul/nu soul/whatever got shitty around year 2000. I like early mary J, early brandy at times, but it got whack. Collabs are shit. Timbaland beats got whack after 1999 and got really annoying What the fuck happened to rnb?

I gotta say, my view about her is that infact I was a fan of hers ever since "strictly business" (1991). She looks so sweet and innocent that me and my mates had big crushes on her. In "boomerang", evne with a muffin head, I still wanted her. [Edited 7/20/05 17:48pm]

It's thangs.
I really dislike Bjork's music, although I think she has talent. I don't think she's nearly as profound as people give her credit for. Why are Aaron Carter & Lil' Bow Wow still alive? Missy looked better with the weight on. Kelly Osbourne has nice love pillows.

I feel similarly about her. Personally speaking, I'm not a fan of her music. It has its merits, but it's just not my thing. However, as an artist, I appreciate her presence, and I wish there were more people on the scene like her. It's the fringe people that take chances and do what isn't already being done that create a happy, creative medium. For that reason alone, I really love her. And seriously - who remembers anything else about the Oscars that year besides her dress?

OK, that's another thing: With Bjork, everything is apparently a damn artistic statement. That gets annoying. LL Cool J really is the G.O.A.T.
Said it before...Corporare America destroyed Hip Hop 50 Cent shut Murder Inc down It hurts me to say this, but Dr. Dre shouldnt do 'Detox' cause it might be below everybody's expectations and be considered "wack". Reggaeton still sucks... Why is Anna Nicole a star? Boyz II Men are wack now Leela James's album is very average Young Jeezy is wack I kind of liked "Whats Your Number" by Cypress Hill Onion Juice appears courtesy of Streethop.com

You can make that argument. Like I said in a previous post: 1. LL was the first solo MC to sell a lot of albums.
2. LL was the first solo MC to come at you hard without a crew with ill lyrics and mad braggadocio. 3. LL was able to appeal to the fellas with his rhymes and the ladies with his looks. 4. LL was the first hard MC to hit with a love ballad. 5. LL has a string of classics from "I Can't Live Without My Radio" to "Rock The Bells" to "I'm Bad" to "Jack The Ripper" to "Goin' Back To Cali" to "Mama Said . . ." For sheer artistry, Rakim is the prototype MC. But for the MC as star, LL is the one everyone patterns themselves after. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

My Opinions on movie stars and singers
Jessica simpson is a slut Britney Spears is pitiful Maddonna is pitiful Kabalah in celebrities is a gimmick and retarted Scientology or however u spell it is a cult. Katie Holmes is so ugly and looks like she never has washed her hair. I bet she smells awful too. Tom Cruise is gay and is just using women to cover it up. Hilary Duff's teeth are no sexy shes got no neck and lost all this weight to look like la lohan. I like the new girl rhianna shes cute I hope she doesn't turn into a hollywood skank. Jennifer Lopez...I feel bad for her shes married to the ugliest human being on the face of this earth. Money Success and no happiness...Sad. Fergie from the black eyed peas...honestly learn how to dress you look retarted...no...stupid. Christina Aguilera you can be so pretty...please...enough with I wanna be marilyn monroe look. Ben affleck is a woman beater. Jennifer Garner is stupid for marrying ben affleck. Alicia Keys looks butchy but can carry her self in a civilized conversation. Beyonce does not know how to speak and sounds trashy when she talks. Ashanti was rocking those side burns for too long. Ashlee Simpson has cute songs I like them...I mean...yea poppy but cute. But she needs to get some fashion advice immediately. Catherine Zeta Jones is Beautiful sophisticated classy woman. Ciara I like her dance moves...shes cute. Keep up with the semi decent clothing. Gwen Stefani shes hot for her age I like her a lot. Jennifer Aniston, I would like to give her a hug. Kate Winslet shes cool. Kelly Clarkson shes suprsingly cool. Kylie Minogue really....you dont need any more botox or face lifts. I'm glad that you battled breast cancer and overcame...Im happy for you. Kelly Osbourne you're not fat why do you want to be gross like nicole richie. Nicole Richie you got a big ass head and you are so not hot. Lindsay Lohan red hair is a must blonde you look like a crack head. Its ashame to say you are from Long Island! Mandy Moore she was so cute with blonde hair..shes ok now...but I like her out of all the teeny boppers whorettes. Mariah Carey shes got a big forehead she isn't fat she isnt butt ugly but she isnt drop dead goregeous either...her attitude and personality aren't helping her looks either. Natalie Portman shes intelligent and I like her. Norah Jones shes a little chunky and has a gut. Shes not fat! shes awesome because she hasn't become a skinny hollywood skank. Shes cool Shes a real woman. (in the hollywood buisness that is) Pamela Anderson is gross she said she had ten years to live because of that heptatis c. Hey I Got news Pamela that makeup you wear is Alexis Vogel I got that stuff too and I know your "beauty" secrets you know...how to cover a "pimple" when its actually your crack boils from your desecating skin. Paris Hilton there is no hope for that girl. Pink is nasty Reese Witherspoon is quite classy shes cool despite the bumps she has on her forehead like her husband. Renee Zellweger needs to open her eyes shes not cute by acting all squinty and she looks so much better happier with more weight on herself. Shakira oh my dear shakira you were so cool back in the day when you use to sing crazy songs in spanish and with your long beautiful black hair...but sadly you have succumbed to looking like an idiot. Faking some sort of orgasm on a video does not make you look popular. I will over look that...I will still see the good you do helping all those children out. Thats cool I commend you. And please enough with the horse lyrics. Usher is a conceited man he looks like a garbanzo.
