I don't know about that. Maybe grander, but it's still pretty fucked up. Sometimes I feel like it's my favorite by them. At least song for song. Songs like "Just Like You", "Serenade" and "Sunset" are all pretty easy to get into and the more adventurous ones seem more polished. This isn't a criticism at all, but you wouldn't find anything like "The Bogus Man" or "Remake/Remodel" on Stranded. By the way, if you aren't familiar with "Psalm," you need to listen to it immediately! Gorgeous. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

By the way, if you aren't familiar with "Psalm," you need to listen to it immediately! Gorgeous. Yes, but there are some pretty mild songs on their first two like "Grey Lagoons" and "Beauty Queen". They're not all wildly experimental either. You wouldn't find anything like "Amazona" or "Mother of Pearl" on those either. I think it's just as musically adventurous and exciting.

"Amazona" and "Mother and Pearl" sound more polished and grandiose than anything on the first two albums, but I still don't think they are as psychotic as some of the instrumentation on the first two albums. Remake/Remodel Ladytron If There Is Something The Bob Do the Strand Editions of You In Every Dream Home a Heartache The Bogus Man Those are some of the most wildly adventurous songs I've ever heard. That doesn't mean the songs on Stranded aren't still quite adventurous themselves, but the ones I listed are from another galaxy. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! There's something just as awe-inspiring about the songs on "Stranded" if you ask me. It's like they worked out their whole thing by that time and put their style into real songs. I feel like their first 2 albums are really Eno and glam influenced, Siren, Manifesto and Flesh + Blood had the whole soul/disco thing going on, and Avalon is almost a different band. Siren seems the most purely Roxy of all their work. That's why I sometimes think it's their best.

I think it was done by Jean Baptiste Mondino - one of the greats. It's got this kinda motion of the ocean thing going on, rocking back and forth. The colors and the movement are gorgeous. Suss it out!

Their 12" single of "Soul Sisters" is pretty easy to obtain. "Soft But Deadly" is the (superior) b-side. Their full-length album is also called Soul Sisters, but I don't have that.
