Remy Shand

Hello everyone,

There is an artist that is new to me (I say that because I believe he's been making music for quick sometime and you guys may have already heard of him). His name is Remy Shand. I just wanted to know what everyone at the org thought of his latest joint. I'm digging it, and I just wanted to know what you guys thought. He has a soulful R&B jazzy vibe about him music.

Eh, can't say that I care too much for him...But I only heard a partial bit of a song played on MTV2 introducing him...

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti...

I have Remy Shand's CD. Although I appreciate the fact that he wrote, produced, arranged, and performed the whole album himself, I don't like the album. The single he put out was decent, but I'm just not feeling the rest of his CD.

Remy Shand is GREAT!! I bought his CD after hearing the first single "Take A Message" and I am hooked. His music is reminiscent of the best soul artists from the past (Marvin Gaye,Al Green),but it still sounds fresh and inspired. Some of the highlights on his CD include...

***"The Way I Feel"
***"Burning Bridges"
***"Take A Message"
***"Rock Steady"---the next single
***"Looking Back On Vanity"
***"The Mind's Eye"

He plays all the instruments on his CD,and he's pretty good, especially his 70s-inspired "wah-wah" guitar on several tracks.I'll be grooving to this CD all summer long!

Cool dude. 'Take a Message' has a gorgeous melody.

Remy Shand is from Winnipeg. He's damn talented. One funky white boy. He has a Lenny Kravitz/Maxwell feel to him...but it's hard not to be compared to SOME1 in the industry this day n' age.
