Wilco

Has anyone else picked up "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot"? This is the CD of the year(or last year since it was recorded in '01)...very cool...kinda modern country rock.

Check it out

wilco are the friggin bomb... glad to see that there are other wilco fans out there (especially, on a prince fansite)... i think "yankee hotel" is the best record released so far this year, but it isn't my favorite wilco record... i still have a personal fondness for "being there"... which was the best cd released that year as well... hmm...

I ALSO LOVE WILCO!!!

I just saw them live couple weeks back...very cool!!!

My fav albums are (besides the new one)

-BEING THERE
-MERMAID AVENUE 1&2

If you wanna go further...pick up albums by UNCLE TUPELO..the country-rock group of the late 80's Jeff Tweedy was in...they actually have an ANTHOLOGY out now on Legacy/Sony.

Peace!!!

It's true: The new Wilco-Album is one of my favourites this year. Especially "Heavy Metal Drummer" could be even a hit - "I miss the innocence I've known - playing PRINCE-Covers beautiful and stoned"...:p

Anxiety

I've been considering getting this disc...I heard a little bit of it at a listening station and I dug what I heard - sounds like it's good right off the bat, and from there it grows on you. Yeah?

I pass those buildings on the album cover every day on the way to work. Are they a Chicago band??

They are from Chicago (I am too), and I have seen them a couple times...great live act.

I love Being There as well as Summerteeth...but the new one kinda brings it all together...the whole album just flows so well. It's one of those albums that is getting better every time I hear it (the same goes for TRC).

Nice to see other Wilco fans on here.
