I can't really recomment ten tracks, If I were you just buy all his albums from Signed Sealed Delivered to Songs In the Key of Life and move from there. If I had to list my ten favorite stevie songs it might go something like this

Love Having You Around
Superwoman
Keep On Running
Bird of Beauty
Jesus children of America
Superstition
Maybe Your Baby
They Won't Go When I go
Summer Soft
All Day Sucker

Seriously dude, you're doing yourself a disservice if you're gonna limit yourself to ten songs. It's like trying to narrow down the ten most essential Beatles songs, there are dozens of tunes that are just as great as any ten any of us could name. My suggestion is listen to Music of My Mind all the way through. It may not be his absolute best, but it's a great introduction to his sound. Proceed to anyother 70s album (Signed Sealed Delivered and Where I'm Coming From included)and you won't be disappointed.

That's coo'. One song that no one's mentioned yet that I think is one of stevie's most fantastic is Sunshine in their eyes, the album closer of "Where I'm coming From". In many ways it's Stevie's answer to Hey Jude.
