Albert knew...

"If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music.
I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music."

"It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition.
My discovery was the result of musical perception."

~Albert Einstein

...the POWER of music.

Very cool post TA!!!! At first I was a little surprised that Einstein made this comment, mainly because I had never heard it. But when I thought about it, it makes complete sense that Einstein would say this, as any musician would agree and see the relationship between music and the universe/physics/mathematics.

It's all music. If you listen.

It all comes from nature. It all has a rhythm and all the other components that make up music. He just saw his world so clearly that is was musical.

That's cool.

One thing I'm sure, however, that even Einstein didn't see coming was;

The Joey Lawrence. I don't think there's an equation that could make sense of that.

No. The world and the universe IS what makes sense. Everything from physics to music is to some degree a mirror of the universe...or an attempt to imitate it. Not Joey, though.

Aah, WBAI sigh
I used to flip back over to them periodically during the night (from WNEW-FM rock radio back in the days of Rosco & Murray The K) to see if they were gonna play their tape of Arlo Guthrie's epic Alice's Restaurant Massacree. This was a version prior to the one that eventually made it to the record.

The reason why I listed Dr. Kaku 1st on my list of favorite Art Bell guests is because his discussions were based on scientific fact.
I would also consider myself a "conspiracy realist" (with an ear for the bizarre) which is why I also listed James Randi and his Million Dollar Challenge as a fav. Art is a great diversion when you're driving late at night and you don't want to listen to music or repetitive news broadcasts.

One thing I always wondered about Art is why he never used Donald Fagen's The Nightfly as a bumper...

...which is perfect down to the cover art.

Better yet as his theme song...
I'm Lester the Nightfly
Hello Baton Rouge
Won't you turn your radio down
Respect the seven second delay we use

So you say there's a race
Of men in the trees
You're for tough legislation
Thanks for calling
I wait all night for calls like these

I actually sent him an email about this including the cover art and a small mp3.
Unfortunately it was sent the week he retired the 1st time. confused
