Yeah, they're pretty old. Much more pop sound now. When they were new and underground, it was a little more punk. Now they're more MTV.

I had never heard of the band before. That how much I pay attention to "underground" music. Wow. I'm out of touch. Is the cd new??? I'm telling ya they are playing the heck out of that song here in Austin. I want to buy it of course coz of the Austin connection... I'm not sure of the other tracks though.

LOL, yeah, I think that CD is the new one out. They had a big hit last year with "1985"

Debbie just hit the wall
she never had it all
one Prozac a day
husbands a CPA
her dreams went out the door
when she turned twenty four
only been with one man
what happen to her plan?

She was gonna be an actress
she was gonna be a star
she was gonna shake her ass
on the hood of white snake’s car
her yellow SUV is now the enemy
looks at her average life
and nothing has been alright

Springstein, Madonna
way before Nirvana
there was U2 and Blondie
and music still on MTV
her two kids in high school
they tell her that she’s uncool
but she still preoccupied
with 19, 19, 1985

Interesing lyrics. I'm gonna try to get the new cd tomorrow. That song Ohio (Come Back to Texas) is a hoot!!!!

Thanks for responding.

I remember the 1985 video. It seemed a bit on the verge of bandwagon jumping but it was fun enough. Never heard anything else by them.

I hated 1985. Avoid that song at all costs - it is torture.

nod Major puke-fest, as is "Almost". They really have that whiny brat voice I absolutely loathe in rock music (see also Simple Plan, Sum 41, whoever sang "Teenage Dirtbag", etc.)

It's deep that they the write a song about somebody who leaves another relationship and falls in love with someone in Cleveland. Pretty interesting. razz
