The DL issue is related, and the one the thread is based on, but bisexuality and DL are not synonymous -and you shouldn't treat it like they are.

I'm not trying to justify anything, just pointed out that it's nothing new or exclusive to one community. DL is not new, nor should it have come as a surprise to anyone, considering the prevailing negative attitudes toward gay and bisexual people. But they say ignorance is bliss...

My boyfriend and I are both bisexual, to varying degrees. Guess what? We're both perfectly okay with each other's sexualities and (gasp! shock!) have a monogamous relationship. Who'da thunk it possible? If we lived life according to what some straight and gay folks here on the Org and elsewhere believe about bisexuals, we wouldn't be dating at all, but rather would likely just be occasional fuck buddies who hook up with everything that moves and spread disease to our unknowing partners.


sidenote: Since we both bat for both teams, even if we do end up getting married I think we'd qualify as a queer couple regardless of our guy/girl status.
