Leela James... Anybody Have Her Album? I heard this young lady's debut single on the radio a couple of days ago and liked it a lot. Has anybody heard the entire album? I noticed that some of the songs are produced by Kanye West. I don't mind some of his production work but, I cannot stand his rapping. Basically I just want to know if he or any other rappers pop up in the middle of her songs (I hate that). I'm seriously considering buying the album. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[Edited 7/19/05 13:10pm] She needs better material. I totally agree. Girl can blow, but too many of the songs are so-so. But I love how she sings "BACKSTABBER! BACKSTAB ME!" on the song It's Alright or maybe it's Didn't I. . There are so many hidden tracks within the album that the tracklist is off. But, her voice is so strong and gritty. I hope she gets back in the studio and do something just real and dirty and soulful. | |
