Madonna is such a complete fraud..... This reminds me of when she dissed Teena Marie a few years back.... She does this because these singers have far more abilities and didn't have to make a career out of being a whorish gimmicks and stunts instead of true vocal/musical ability. | |

had she been big for just the era from 82-85 and faded after the Virgin Tour and no one bought True Blue than i'd have to agree with that she was a fraud. However she has been in the top of her game for 23 years now. A fraud wouldn't have lasted that long. Milli Vinilli, Britney, Paula Abdul, and all the countless one hit wonders prove that. She is not a great singer, but as a pop singer she doens't have to. Pop music is about connecting to the masses. She isn't the best lyricist, but she doens't have to be. She writes Pop music. It's about conencting to the masses. She is an unparrelled live performer because she doesn't do it half assed. Everything is checked by her. She knows everyone's part, every cue, and notices everyones mistakes. She is the apitome of Pop music. Shallow and always a bit ahead of the curve. She doesn't have to be the best, she just has to appear to be ahead of the game. Isn't that the definition of being a fraud if she is just "appearing to be a head of the game"? I guess your right about her deficiencies not being required in pop... That's why I hate pop and Madonna in particular because she is the apitome of a lot of what's wrong in music... And lipsynching and/or backing tracks in a live show IS being half assed! So for her to criticize anyone is a bit hypocritical too! | |
