Some perspective on MJ from a child of the 1980s:
Growing up in the 1980's (Reagan administrations, the birth of Mtv, Purple Rain, etc.), Michael Jackson was the most ubiquitous celebrity in the world. He was huge. His celebrity was far larger than anyone else's on the scene today. He had a doll in his likeness. Glitter gloves were sold everywhere, as well as knock-off jackets copied from his videos' wardrobes. His trip to the White House was with the escort of scores of police officers. It was like he was a head of state, not just a musician. His and his brothers' Victory tour press conferences about ticket prices made the national evening news. All that to say that when his promo posters for Bad were released, in the summer of 1986, my parents and I couldn't believe what he'd done to his face. We'd known about the Thriller-era surgeries and had chalked it up to MJ trying to be assimilationist. The pale skin only reinforced that opinion (and his subsequent surgeries have cemented it). More than anything, it seemed he wanted to be a white woman, at least visually. Why is his transformation so often debated? Because, you had the most famous music celebrity -- at that point, arguably, of all time -- a black man, transforming himself into his polar opposite (again, facially, a white woman). The hair (wigs) got longer and straighter, his features grew keener with every album release and video special. In a society that objectified white women, Mikey seemed to want to be anything opposite of a masculine black male. To a society that takes its cues from black people (artistically, socially, etc.) while often limiting our importance financially and politically, his transformation is a socio-cultural car wreck, for a host of reasons. The two first are exactely the same sorry... They are from 1977. But in some pics, he seems to have a bigger nose but in fact it's just the quality of the pic, the angle or the expression of his face that changes his apparence... What I mean is some pics can FOOL you... This is why you believe that the two first are not the same...

There´s noone who would turn from black to white, with some many different hairstyles, heavy professional make-up, few plastic surgeries....of course he MUST look DRASTICALLY different! But I´ve poste enough pictures from all the periods of his life proving that considering all those drastic changes you can still see the resemblance. His higher lip is thinner... Look the original Michael to the left, look at his higher lip, then look at Michael Jackson in 1984, his higher lip looks BLATANTLY thinner... CAn you see that... I'm not lying, it's obvious.
OK, you´ll think I am being ridiculous again, but anyways, that Thriller shot is taken with MJ´s head lower. Stand in front of the mirror and check it on yourself. If you put your head up, your lips look fuller, if you put it down, they look slimmer. (this is fun  )
One more thing guys, that hasn´t been mentioned, but is important. Check the colour of his EARS!!! It´s interesting that they always match is skin colour. Now how come his ears are white now? Could he have possible changed the colour by plastic surgery? Does he put that alleged cream on there as well? Notice his skin is white or black even in his hair - on places hardly accesable for cream. How do you explain that if some of you deny that vitiligo thing? I don't like your pics because most of them he wears a lot of make up... if you think so.....anyways, the very first pictures on the top of this page are from Off the wall and Thriller days and his lips look pretty much the same to me.
