I'm pretty sure that some of ya'll have seen the new commercial with Donny and that Sprint dude. Donny is saying how with Sprint,now he can talk more to his family, like Marie, Jimmy and TITO! The Sprint cat has to tell Donny "You don't have a Tito." Then Donny, who looks shocked by the news, asks "No Tito?" Then the Sprint dude "No Tito". I thought the first time I saw it that it was cute and clever. This goes all the way back to the early 70's with The Osmonds and The Jackson Five and the similarities between their large families. The timing of this commercial could have not been better although I was kinda surprised that it hit when it did, with Michael and all. Seeing Donny, with him being the same age as Michael, shows just how OUT THERE Michael is and has been. Anyway, who has seen this commercial and what do ya'll think of it, if anything?

For some odd reason, I thought RipHerToShreads would have been able to relate and not had a hangup about coping to it.

I have seen it! Just didn't see this thread until just now. Funny commercial, and yeah, I thought the timing was a bit strange. Not intentional, I'm sure, but still a bit odd. Mostly, I just thought, "Damn. Donny really needs money."

There aren't many folks who would do that, especially on television. Looking at it from this angle, the timimg may have been deliberate. I can see, in Donny's way, of trying to help Michael and the Jackson family, by putting a little lightheartedness their way. Donny, a big star in his teenage years, knows all about fame and the highs and lows of it. Donny and Micheal are the same age, and not only are the total number of children the same in their immediate families, but Donny and Michael are the same number in their family. They were friends all through their teens and early 20's. I can see Donny trying to put a positive spin on it by including a member from the Jackson family. Knowing that whenever he says Tito, everyone will think of Michael.

lol..I haven't seen that yet. I'll be on the lookout for that. That's funny you mention that B, because I was thinking the same thing when I saw Micheal on tv (about how out there he is compared to Donny Osmond). By the way....WHERE IS FOSTER SYLVERS????? (lol)
