They're both among the very best song writers the world has ever been blessed with. John is my fave of the two, tho'.

And people always say Paul's solo career was far better, but if you compare the two greatest hits albums--All the Best & The Lennon Collection, you'll find they are pretty comparable as far as well known songs. But Lennon's have far more substance. None of Paul's solo albums are great IMO. A few come close, but I think even Mind Games & Walls & Bridges are superior to most of Paul's albums.

Paul definitely has a gift for melody, but so does Andrew Lloyd Webber & Billy Joel. Nice to listen to but not exactly life changing.

Unfortunately, both were better with each other and we can only imagine what the 70's would have been like if they stayed together.

No, um seriouisly is a tad bit too hard, but based on solo, Paul to me. Comin Up is just too funky!

Haven't heard anything of Paul's solo work unfortunately
However , tho' , i think he's the better songwriter of the two

Probably most annoying, though, are the fans that I have encountered. Such arrogance and narrow-mindedness is off-putting and makes me hate the Beatles even more.
