(His pad in Miami) i remember him "paying his dues" in Menudo. Back in 1996 I saw a big plaque at the Hard Rock in San Juan, PR which listed all of the Gold & Platinum albums & singles that he had thus far. That was YEARS before the "crossover"...so you know he's got BANK. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

"livin' la vida loca" was only given the attention it got after his performance of "copa de la vida" on the grammy awards. actually "copa de la vida" may be the bigger (worldwide) hit.

I fully admit that I hate him. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

who else has madonna worked with that's fallen off the map. there must be some more i'm forgetting. anyway, that's what happened to ricky martin. the devil swallowed him up. Sassy. Britney's sales declined after her debut. "Britney", despite being a really good CD, didn't sell well in terms of what her first two sold. Her next might have sold less, but probably not that much less. And keep in mind that despite all of Britney's problems (her first embrassing marriage, that "support the President" comment, etc.) she managed to have one of her biggest hits in years with "Toxic" right after "Me Against the Music". Ricky's first full Spainglish did very well and yes, it had that Madonna duet. To say that she killed his career is a joke. Now MJ....of course that was all her!

Ricky was doing just fine before his big Grammy performance. Then he became a huge Americna success which ultimately meant he would also have to have a huge fall. If never has another hit in the U.S. he'll be just fine with his charity work and his Latin audience.
OT: I thought Fallen should have been bigger for Mya? Why does it seem like she can only have one or two good singles per album? Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

For a while it felt like "God is A DJ" was going to save that third album, but it didn't even fair all that well on the dance charts.

Mya's problem is this - THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO MARKET HER. She's not STREET so she can't go that route...She's not EARTHY/BO-HO so she can't go that route. She's near the Aaliyah category but no one is really feeling the "Good Girl" vibe since Aaliyah passed. I always thought Mya should go Neo Soul and find her niche there. And she kinda has a bland personality to boot. Pretty as hell. I'd tap until I was all tapped out with her cute ass nose and bangin' ass. Whew! Lawd! [Edited 6/23/05 15:57pm] Silent shouts, I hope you hear
